Playing With Your ONES In Mind

Social gatherings are the perfect place to invite new folks into a non-threatening environment, especially ONES. A chance to get to know other Christians you love and trust can be one of the most important bridges for a ONE to witness the love, community, and service that accompany following Jesus.

Pitch-In

Most Americans eat 3 meals a day and 21 meals a week- you might as well share that experience with others. There is something about eating together that breaks down barriers. Good conversation over a hearty meal and drinks has a way of bringing people together in a way that few other activities can.

Game Night

Want to learn a lot about a person in a (mostly) non-threatening way? Play a game with them! Casual games that allow for talking about other things while playing are the best in these settings, though certainly cooperative games and more intense games have their place with certain groups of people.

BBQ

A variation of doing a pitch-in, a BBQ during the warmer months gives opportunities for folks to be together outside, grill masters to show off their skills, yard game champions to dominate the competition, and kids to run around and be a bit crazy. Most ONES understand a BBQ, so this is a perfect opportunity to include them.

Sports

Being near a a major metropolitan area, there are a variety of opportunities to watch professional, semi-professional, and high-quality amateur sports together. From the comfort of your living room to the sights, sounds, and smells of the big stadiums, you can root for your favorite teams together with your ONES.
