Playing With Other Groups

Venture hasn't cornered the market when it comes to hanging out with others and building community organically. Your Venture Group is encouraged to plan and execute opportunities for people in your group to build community with folks from other groups (and it doesn't need to be facilitated by Venture).

Multi-Group Game Night

Want to learn a lot about a person in a (mostly) non-threatening way? Play a game with them! Casual games that allow for talking about other things while playing are the best in these settings, though certainly cooperative games and more intense games have their place with certain groups. Party games and multi-player video games can also add something to a game night.

Multi-Group Pitch-In

Most Americans eat 3 meals a day and 21 meals a week- you might as well share that experience with others. There is something about eating together that breaks down barriers. Good conversation over a hearty meal and drinks has a way of bringing people together in a way that few other activities can. Consider having a theme for the meal to spice things up!

Babysitting Swap Night

It can be difficult to have adult conversations or participate in fun activities as an adult if the kids are around for every minute of your time together. Invite another Venture group to swap childcare with your group on a rotating basis to save money, serve together, and increase your ability to hang out with people in your group.

There are a few planned opportunities throughout the year to gather with your group and other groups to build stronger relationships together. Invite your group, invite your friends from other groups, and invite your ONES to worship, pray, serve, and play at our various all-church events. Don't wait for these to roll around though- plan some gatherings on your own.
